This sell-in piece for adidas innovation had to clearly and succinctly explain the athlete’s need for a more natural feeling shoe without sacrificing support. We tapped our friends at Miniac Films to help us weave this multi-dimensional story.

This piece served as a mood film to reset the visual feel and tone of adidas’ innovative 4D line. Moving away from the more slick and clinical origins of the line’s aesthetic, 4D was to evolve into warmer tones and a more integrated sense of how athletes co-create the product with their own biometrics.

A key strategic pillar for the brand moving into 2022, we wanted to talk about sustainability with optimism and remind our audience that we are connected to everything and everyone. Mahogany Brown’s poetic script allowed us to step away from the expected, corporate pandering and create a piece with heart.
FREAK

Set to drop on Halloween, the Adidas U.S. Football BU wanted a film to showcase the cleat designed for the most powerful and intimidating players on the field - the likes of Von Miller and Joey Bosa - monsters and boogeymen who appear out of nowhere to end plays with staggering athleticism. With very limited time and space at the annual football supershoot, I had to devise and execute a creative direction that was true to the BU's edgy vision. In the end the all players had fun getting their scary faces on and we all had a blast making this. The amazingly talented Diego Stocco created the sound design that elevated the piece to a higher level.

A motion piece was not in the plan for the campaign, so no video was shot. Then the top brass said, “we need motion!” A classic case of “work with what ya got” was born. Fired up on the challenge to get creative, I led a small team to build a video using mostly stills from the product shoot. We developed a graphic system and shot some supplementary footage, gorilla style, that emphasized the high energy and grit of the young, urban runner.
adidas Badge

The Badge project is an ongoing effort to create on-brand, seasonal and evergreen photography and video content for use in internal and commercial communications, from retail to e-commerce to digital. With multiple sport categories to cover, each with their own product coverage needs, this was a massive undertaking. I was involved from the very beginning and laid the foundation for motion execution.

adidas Boost x Argonne National Laboratory

Adidas collaborated with researchers at Arizona State University to study the material properties of Adi’s innovative Boost foam on a molecular scale using the particle accelerator at Argonne National Laboratory. Because of the National Lab’s tight security clearance, we were only allowed a crew of two and had to make due, completely off-the cuff. The result was fun and educational.
